| Free Practice Tests

Take a diagnostic “mock” test anytime. They’re a great way to start at Foley Prep. Everyone can take up to 2 free practice tests (1 ACT and 1 SAT) before joining Foley Prep, with zero obligation to purchase classes. If you do decide to purchase one of our prep packages, several additional mock tests will be included at no additional charge (specific number depends on the package you choose). Regular practice tests throughout the prep process are a great way for students to get comfortable with the format and  time limits of the real SAT or ACT, and for tutors to identify problem areas that still need more time and attention in group or private sessions.

To register for a mock test, use our mobile app, our online booking system, or scroll down and press the button below. If you are registering for the first time, after you have entered your basic information, choose the “Free Diagnostic SAT” or “Free Diagnostic ACT” item at checkout. A few things to keep in mind for your mock test!
  • ✓Arrive 15 minutes early
  • ✓Bring a calculator, a pencil, a bottle of water, and a snack
  • ✓Tell the proctor upon arrival if you wish to take the essay portion of the mock test (ACT only)
  • ✓Tell us in advance if you are entitled to extra time


Detailed results will be emailed within 48 hours (usually within a few hours of taking the test.) If you book tutoring sessions, your Foley Prep Pro will review your mock test answers with you and use it as a starting point for planning your sessions. A May 2019 study of our students shows that 2-3 practice tests during the program helps achieve an average 220 point increase on the SAT!
